He introduced them with having either an internally focused (introverted) or externally focused (extraverted) tendency which he called "attitudes". Intuition is an utterly authentic book: several of the cases and personalities described in it are real (though names have been changed), and are depicted with confidence.

Intuition reminded me of a John Grisham book, however instead of taking place in a courtroom, the setting was a research lab and academia.

The second pair of psychological preferences is Sensing and Intuition. Do you pay more attention to information that comes in through your five senses (Sensing), or do you pay more attention to the patterns and possibilities that you see in the information you receive (Intuition).

Everyone spends some time Sensing and some time using Intuition. psychological function that perceives immediate reality through the physical senses. (Compare intuition.). An attitude that seeks to do justice to the unconscious as well as to one’s fellow human beings cannot possibly rest on knowledge alone.

Intuition is the ability to acquire knowledge without recourse to conscious reasoning. Different writers give the word "intuition" a great variety of different meanings, ranging from direct access to unconscious knowledge, unconscious cognition, inner sensing, inner insight to unconscious pattern-recognition and the ability to understand something instinctively, without the need for conscious.

conscious orientation (thinking, feeling, sensation, intuition), and the two attitudes through which those orientations are deployed (introversion and extraversion). Establishing the rationale for this language as a helpful basis for the analysis of consciousness was the purpose of his book, Psychological Types.

One last book I recommend is my new book: The Intuition Primer: Practical Lessons to Launch Your Intuition – also on Amazon Kindle. I hope you enjoy these books. Let me know what you think of the books, or if you have any questions.
