What I do get out of these books is a sense of what life may have been like all these years ago. Fellow woman, we have come along way and yet I know out there, there are women who. Written by a food scientist, this book does an amazing job of explaining the reasoning behind why we do certain things in cooking, as well as the functions and processes of certain techniques.
